Future Transfer Students

Welcome, future transfer students!

Auburn University welcomes transfer applicants from community colleges, two- and four-year colleges and universities. Transfer students coming from a two-year community college may apply toward their Auburn University degree up to 50% of the total hours required for that degree.

Class registration – Auburn University offers entering transfer students a one-time opportunity to be pre-registered for their classes.

 

Accepted Transfer Students

Steps to Finalize Admission – As an accepted transfer student, you will need to complete the steps listed to finalize your admission into Auburn University. These steps include: account activation, confirmation deposit, plan of study, medical form, and registering for orientation, Successfully Orienting Students (SOS).

 

Transfer Credits

Evaluation Process – Once you submit your confirmation deposit to the Office of Admission Processing, your transcripts will start to be evaluated. Submitting Official Transcripts as quickly as possible will help ensure the Auburn credit awarded will show on the student’s record before the SOS Orientation session.

Transfer Course Equivalency Tables –  The Office of the Registrar maintains the course database used to populate these course equivalency tables which determine how courses taken at other institutions will be evaluated for credit at Auburn University.

Area V – Intended to assist students transferring from one of Alabama’s community colleges, this list indicates the Area V requirements for each major offered by Auburn University. Attach this page to your STARS Transfer Guide. When you meet with an advisor at Auburn, bring both your STARS Transfer Guide and the corresponding Area V page.
